Despite having a worse record, the Los Angeles Rams come into Week 7 as the betting favorites over the 5-1 Bears – and it’s not just by a couple of points, either. Being at home and coming off a disappointing loss to the 49ers, the Rams opened the week as 5.5-point favorites over the Bears.
That’s not terribly surprising since the Rams have looked like legitimate contenders for most of the season so far, while the Bears won their first three games by four points each against bad teams. Los Angeles can’t brag too much, though, considering all of its four wins have come against the NFC East.
The line hasn’t shifted much since it first came out earlier in the week, but it has moved slightly in the Rams’ direction. According to BetMGM, the Rams are now six-point favorites against Chicago. The Over/Under has also dropped slightly, going from 46.5 to 44.5 points.
The Bears have actually been better against the spread than the Rams have, going 4-2 ATS this season. The Rams are just 3-3 ATS this season, including 1-3 in their last four. The total has only gone over in one of the Rams’ last three meetings with the Bears, too.
